Tjun Lum
Hi there! My name is Tjun Yi, I’m a first-year law student from Malaysia. Here I’m going to tell you a bit about myself, and what I wish to do if I’m elected.

First, my aim would be to create a warm and supportive atmosphere for all in Christian Union – whether first-timers, seasoned members, or visitors in passing. This is partly because of my own experience here. Despite the unusual circumstances this year, I found an open and welcoming community in CU. I want to encourage and extend the same help given to me to new members who likewise might feel intimidated.

Secondly, I will continue to coordinate Impact Groups. They create a system of support and accountability as members study the Bible together and pray for one another. Impact Groups allow students to form deeper friendships in CU.

Lastly, I have experience in being part of the committee for Christian group in high school. That experience allowed me to understand and practice working in a team, as well as how to support one another. As a committee member, I will do my best to work peacefully and thoroughly, doing my best for the glory of God.
Albertina Abilio
Hi, I’m Albertina and I’m a first-year Biomedical Engineering student. I’m originally Angolan but I was born in London.
This past year has been quite challenging for all of us, especially as university students. But, being a part of the Christian Union has helped me to feel part of a loving community. I believe everyone should have the opportunity to be a part of it and learn about the Gospel. I want to make sure others feel welcomed and at home at CU.
By being your Follow-Up and Communications Officer, I hope to use my creativity and organisational skills to help the Christian Union operate from behind the scenes. I plan to keep our community together by leading bible studies, impact groups and upcoming events.
Also, I want to use social media to share Christian content such as podcasts, music, and blogs with the society to edify us and unite us in our interests. As someone who is organised and caring, I believe my skills will help CU continue to bring its vision of sharing the Gospel to life.
I am looking forward to joining the committee and getting to know you all!
