Being a part of Buddhist society, this year, has been a really enjoyable experience. As President, I would ensure a smooth transition from online to in-person events, ensuring that there are both in person meditations, temple visits, socials, and nature/mindfulness walks, as well as online activities for any remote members.

I would also like to collaborate more with other societies, following the success with that of Shaolin King Fu society. This will increase the promotion of Buddhist Soc, and enable us to hold more members and have a varied range of persons involved in discussions and socials.

I have experience of being a President at UCL through Drama Soc, and have learnt the importance of collaborating as a committee, as well as the importance of posting on Social Media.

Communication is a key part of the success of societies, and this is something that Buddhist soc has done really well this year. I would ensure that I work well with the committee and that weekly emails are sent out, as well as updates on social media.

Ultimately, I have had experience of leading one of the biggest societies at UCL, and this has meant that I am fully capable of holding this position at Buddhist Soc. This is a super inclusive society, and this is something that I would promote above all else. It would be an honour to have this opportunity
