Heyy!!!
I’m Mai, a first-year pharmacology student. As someone who meticulously tracks their own personal finances, I am perfect for this role as I’m experienced in using Excel/Google Sheets. I have a strategic and analytical approach to all important tasks, therefore, I would be comfortable taking on the huge responsibility of becoming treasurer and vice president. I perform well in a team, have excellent communication skills, and would comfortably take up positions of leadership. If elected, my priorities are: staying organised and managing overall cash flow, budgeting for events, handling membership fees, applying for funding/sponsors. It would be an honour to be on the committee, I participated in a few events hosted by the BBT Soc and everyone seems really nice :D

Hi! I'm Him Shun, I'm currently a 2nd-year ChemEng student, soon to be a 3rd-year.

I'll be direct; I just love bubble tea (as calorically horrifying as it is), and I also love playing with numbers and managing the financial side of things which was why I applied to this role; I'd love to be able to contribute to Bubble Tea Society as Treasurer. I believe I have some relevant experience in event and finance management that'll help me succeed in this aspect; I used to be a prefect and club captain in secondary school, and having to manage a budget, teams and events definitely improved my organisation and time management skills!

In terms of my priorities as treasurer; first and foremost I'd place the utmost importance on supporting the society as a whole, in making sure that our finances are balanced and that all our events are able to run smoothly. I will work with the Union in ensuring we get a suitable budget, and support our President, whoever they may be, in delegating tasks. I hope you will consider voting for me, I hope I can meet your expectations if you do!

Hi everyone! Having served as Treasurer for the society this year, I would love to continue serving in this role in next year’s committee. Having grown up in Hong Kong living right above a range of bubble tea shops, I can’t count the number of all-nighters I’ve powered through with a cup of bubble tea right by my side, helping me stay up to meet numerous deadlines. My love for the drink and my desire to share it is why I’d like to nominate myself once again.

Working at one of the UK’s largest Asian supermarket chains alongside my studies, I would love to use my insight and connections in the industry to help organise bubble tea and snack box socials and workshops once in-person activity is possible again, bringing along anything bubble tea related; whether that be bubble tea buns, mochi, or even ice cream! (Yes we really sell all these!) I would also like to continue contacting bubble tea kit providers to secure deals for our society if remote activity is still required, so that all members can still enjoy the drink from the comfort of your own homes.

Having served as Treasurer for both this society and one of UCL’s largest arts societies, I have extensive experience managing finances for societies and liaising with the student union to organise events and carry out reimbursements. Having also served in various outreach roles, I also have experience securing sponsorships, partnerships, and discounts with third parties as well, and hope to continue doing so if elected!
