I am running for re-election because I want to continue the work I’ve done this year and be president of the club in a more normal year as I’ve enjoyed it and want to make sure we grow massively when things return to normal.

This year I’ve kept the club running and operating during the pandemic, a feat that many presidents and committees haven’t been able to accomplish. On top of this I’ve kept the social scene of the club alive despite having no social secretary. My primary focus of this year was the content library and I have already grown it to 8 hours of content that will massively help next year with teaching in the club. I’ve also built closer ties with TeamUCL in our operations and communication, including fully engaging in the development program, that will result in more opportunities for the club in the future including potentially more grant funds.

Next year I want to build on my work this year to bring the club to new heights. I want to expand the committee to include postgraduate officer, kit officer and social media officer so the president can better focus on the overall running of the club. Pandemic permitting, I want to return the club to the class schedule and general operations of previous years, whilst focusing on member retention and bringing in new members. I will hire a second coach to do this. Also, I want to look for potential other locations to hold classes so we can continue to expand without the timetable limitations of Bloomsbury fitness.
