I truly align with BIS’s mission to create opportunities for future behavioural scientists and apply their knowledge to behaviour change interventions.

I joined the team in June and since then I have participated in as many projects as I could; from hosting our society’s first event, to assisting in organising our careers fair, and becoming the Lead for Applied Projects. These experiences have helped to develop my understanding of the values and aims that the society has been built on. As President, I would build on the society’s first-year foundations and would make sure that every UCL student feels welcome to join our team. The society would maintain all of its projects and keep organising events where students can create lifelong relationships, whether professional, personal or both. An extra emphasis would be given to opportunities that enable students to apply their knowledge to real-life projects. I believe that I would be a good fit for the role due to my organisation, team-work and communication skills that I have developed whilst working in marketing for the past few years, and my passion for behavioural science and the society. My work experience also gives me a good understanding of how organisations work and how to build rapport with stakeholders, which will be essential in the society’s future development.

BIS has come such a long way from a small team to a successful organisation, and I couldn’t be more excited to see and be part of its next steps.
