Martynas Pocius
During this year as a First Year Representative, I had a chance to see firsthand, how people from very different backgrounds, and disciplines managed to find their own place under the vast field of artificial intelligence. I am not an exception, as I myself got carried away by robotics. This multidisciplinary nature was one of the main things that brought me to AI. It is also one of the main areas I am going to focus on if elected as a Head of Tutorials.
So far, we have a great resource system that introduces people to Machine Learning. However, I believe that we could push even further by implementing area-focused tutorials that would work as a transition to self-driven learning. By exploring artificial intelligence applications in medicine, finance, cybersecurity, robotics, art, and other areas, we would attract even a wider audience who maybe previously have not thought that their fields of interests might come under the umbrella of artificial intelligence. I believe that along with a strong team, we will be able to implement such a strategy and serve as a connection between AI and the wider public.
