Art Business Society: Business Development Officer

My view of our society has not changed since I was elected to be the IT&Creative officer half a year ago – the art business society still finds itself in a unique position to be at the epicentre of the digital transformation of the art world. Despite our hopes for the easing of the restrictions and the ablation of the pandemic – the truth is regardless whether or not there will be a speedy recovery the art world will emerge new and different. With change comes opportunity – opportunity for a better, more equitable and innovative art market and, perhaps, with more younger faces in it. This is our opportunity to seize this chance and cultivate valuable relationships with actors all across the industry as well as to, of course, share our joint love of art with each other.

I have been an art lover since early childhood having attended a Sunday art school for over 6 years and consistently keeping up with contemporary artists throughout my life. Since I stood for election to become the newest officer of the Art Business society, I have started a new job at a digital arts start-up called V-Art – a platform to sell, exhibit and collect digital arts. This is a new and emerging space that was able to leverage the Covid environment for the better – I hope to share these developments as well as many others with you next year!
