Arab and North African Society: Charity Lead

My time as a charity fresher rep this year really gave me an insight into how this amazing society functions behind the scenes and in particular, what I can do as your new charity officer. I have met the most amazing group of people and made memories during this year's homes project that I will forever cherish. Indeed it is working with people where I feel most at home! The feeling of seeing people engage and bring our project to life was indescribable and I was so inspired by people's willingness to be generous and hopeful, at a time when it is easier than ever to become overwhelmed by our own difficulties. I can’t wait to do it all again next year, as your elected charity officer, and spread the passion for helping those without the privileges we have. Despite the excitement of charity work, it brings me a sense of tranquility which I hope will resonate with you all. As a committee member, I will be a familiar face to you and help make your charitable intentions a reality. Ultimately, I want to continue the legacy and make our next project even more accessible to every single one of you. After all, we can only do it together.
