Isabelle Pomfret
Hello everyone! You may not know me as I haven't been especially active in the society this year but I'm Isa/Isabelle. I'd like to begin with how I first considered applying for this role. This started with the ideas that I would like to implement. I had previously run a quiz server, so that would be transferable into potentially hosting anime quizzes as well as my subsidiary experience in corralling people, imagining concepts, and implementing specifically online events. Moreover, seeing the previous in-person events that were held, I grew inspired. I'm sure everyone is particularly looking forward to exceptional in-person events, made even more special after a long lockdown, and I'd like to make that a reality. But, perhaps my most key reason in applying, was how I knew that I would be wholly dedicated to serving you and the Anisoc community. As a psychology student, I am acutely aware of the importance of making people feel welcome, listening, and adapting to their needs. Should you have any ideas concerning events, comments, critiques, or anything of that nature, it would be my privilege to hear them. Thank you for your consideration!
Osaze Ighodaro
There are several reasons why I am standing. Below are the main 3 points.

1. The server is huge, this causes a lot of members not able to express themselves in small servers, this can cause some people to be scared to talk in whole server events. I am planning to message as many members and learn things about them such as their like, dislikes etc, then I will slowly begin to form events targeting this, this will help members normally scared to attend group events.

2. I will make the guess the anime quizzes easier for newer fans so they are not too lost or feel intimidated.

3. I also plan to create weekly or fortnightly debate sessions where we can talk about important problems in the anime world such as is sub better than dub or if mangas are superior to animes and why.

If you believe that you'll like to see these things in the club please vote for me! Vote for debates! Vote for deeper bonding!
Hasan Imam-Sadeque
You probably know me as Goose. Despite the lack of person events I’ve enjoyed anisoc immensely, everything from the blursed Halloween watermelon carving, impromptu CS:GO customs and definitely correct UCL anime awards. My goal is to take the legacy Jason - who inspired me to run for this role - leaves us and surpass it to free our souls from gravity and help anisoc be more.

UCL Anitalk Podcast → I’ve helped to produce, edit and publish both episodes so far
LAU gunpla workshop → Ran this is conjunction with Arjun from QM
Helping stream both formal + informal streams this year
Proposed Gundam week and streaming all of Origin
Proposing #le-cafe channel to Jason

More week-long events dedicated to older/niche anime + related media: perhaps tokusatsu + space operas next
Starting a weekly casual game night → time to make the spontaneous Jaxkbox games a regular event
Starting an anisoc blog (UCL filmsoc style) to be a hub for podcasts, anime reviews and other society generated content
Encouraging more focused sub-groups within society → League, Terraria and even Fall guys have been really chill but always room for more
UCL Anisoc steam group
OST hour → given the state of the world right now a communal regular hour-long Animusic stream to work or play gacha to should help a little
Post-covid: Anisoc presence at some of the London Cons (remember those?); Anime Film Events (if/when they come to British cinemas) → Demon Slayer and Hathaway perhaps
Chun Hu
You probably know me as Realzzz on discord. From the spontaneous socials that have more people than the scheduled ones, to the blessed Ghost Stories dub streaming, to LAU fair and talking about everyone’s passion projects, despite not being able to interact with most people in real life, I truly enjoyed every event.

From helping with the podcast through hosting it, to sitting in VC all day waiting for people to join, that connected me with many different people, and also made me comfortable to volunteer for this role - I want to help organise more awesome events and meet even more new people.

My goal is to expand on the socials that have happened this year, hopefully trying to involve LAU and NSN to a larger degree so that there are many more people to interact with. One of my other projects is to help establish proper working streams, which would help each other revise and grind coursework during crunch times. Another goal of mine is wanting to establish the lore of AniSoc, both the actual history of the society but also the lore based around Yuni-chan.

When we can get back to our daily lives, socials like Bowling, Escape rooms, Bouldering, a Badminton meet up, or any social ideas that people would find interesting would be first on the agenda. I aim to collaborate with all committee to make next year another fun weeb year, and make the best out of our remaining seishun and university lives!

Please vote me for Events Officer!
Sebastian Szkudelski
Have you ever wanted a large scale event including several other Uni's or a small event only for our society? If yes then look no further. I will listen to your ideas and make them a reality. Gundam event sorted, molcar screening I got that, whatever you want can be accomplished if you let me know. It doesn't even have to be anime related. With my current experience of managing and running large scale events, I am confident that I will be able to use the knowledge I acquired to run events you wont forget, provided in person meetings will be allowed. I will strive to organise events that ALL of you will be able to enjoy. If elected my main focus will be on special events such as trips/outings and pub nights along with LAU events but rest assured that I will attend every weekly event if possible.

I am currently studying natural sciences (organic chemistry and molecular/cell biology), although this year I studied remotely I hope to meet all of you in person next year and even on discord if I still have not met you. I go by several names there but look out for seb with a Razer profile picture. @me in discord or send me a DM I'm more than willing to speak to all of you. I hope this short introduction gives you an insight as to who I am and why I'm a good candidate for the role of an events officer.

I have had a very good time in AniSoc this year, despite all the events being online, and have received a lot of help and support from people in the society. It is an amazing community and I would love to help out in events next year and make sure it is still a safe space for members to collectively show their love for anime. I am interested in organising events which consist of quizzes since this is something popular that many people can join. If in-person activities are allowed again, then oragnising karaoke events would also be something I would like to do. I would like to work together with the rest of the committee members to come up with fun and unique events that everyone enjoys, even if its something they might not initially be familiar with.
