Throughout this academic year, the Art Exhibition subcommittee has worked so hard to be able to make this year’s exhibition just as successful as it’s predecessors. Despite the fact the event was virtual, we managed to create an exciting and enriching exhibition that allowed students of very diverse backgrounds to display their artwork. If elected, I want to sustain this and perhaps surpass the high bars set by the previous members.

Whilst working as a designer for the subcommittee, I was able to liaise with the current director, which has helped me get a glimpse of what the workload could be like. I believe that I would be best equipped for this role due to my strong work ethic, which I was able to showcase by keeping up with the deadlines for the posts for the publicity team. Like this year, I hope to help organise a series of workshops and exciting collaborations with other committees leading up to the exhibition.

We were able to gain a solid social media presence this year thanks to our publicity team, so as a director, I would want to further capitalise off that so that our exhibition can be bigger and better and reach a larger audience.

Thank you!

Having had the privilege to act as president of Anatomy Society under unprecedented circumstances, I would be delighted to keep contributing to the society by working as the exhibition director. I have a couple of ideas for next years' exhibitions that I would be keen to implement and share!

1) Introducing a permanent online exhibition alongside an in-person event by creating two subsections of the subcommittee.

2) Maintaining the high standards of publicity and design set out by the previous years.

3) Collaborating with other societies (i.e. Film, Photography or Dance Society) to introduce more multimedia artwork to the final exhibition! This hopefully will include getting more sponsors to fund the society to provide art materials for students (useful for those who may have a budget when it comes to art).

I hope to make next years' exhibition the biggest one yet and carry on this brilliant tradition both virtually and on campus.
