I know that lockdown this year has restricted ACS’ sports teams. Having to respect Boris’ rules whilst trying to create fixture almost seems impossible, right?
Optimistically, lockdown will be finishing before next year hence I’d like to take advantage by setting up a network with neighbouring universities that allows us to set up regular fixtures with motivating rewards for all sports.
Having been a 1x National Gold championship and 2x final fours basketball player, I understand the importance of fun, competition and mental health in sports. Therefore I’d like to use my empathy to integrate a successful program that ensures ACS sport teams aren’t deprived of matches like they were this year. My great networking skills will allow me to develop a close relationship with the sports officers of neighbouring universities increasing the likelihood of more matches being created.
Being sports officer, I’d love to reconcile for the lack of matches by creating an overwhelming number of games with the football, basketball and netball teams.
