Britney Laryea
Hey everyone! I'm Britney, and I will be running for the role of the African-Caribbean Society (ACS) Promotions Director.

I think I am well suited for the role for numerous reasons, and I hope that by the time you have finished reading this I have persuaded you to think so too, and vote for me!

I have extensive experience in marketing roles, the most notable and recent being my role as head of media and marketing for UCL’s first Africa Conference (UCLAC). My branding strategy was hugely successful and received much positive feedback. Ultimately, our social media platforms garnered over 800 new followers collectively, and our campaign over £500. The conference also received over 400 RSVPs.

I am also a promotions officer for UCL’s Ghana Society where I was asked to join the committee following the success of the UCLAC where I am now helping to rebrand the society. I have also been head of media and marketing for past initiatives such as the Young Enterprise Programme.

Following all my experience, I believe that I will be a great addition to next year’s committee. The UCL ACS is a society that is very close to my heart, and I have ambitions to make the ACS brand even more recognisable and successful than it already is. I wish to utilise numerous platforms more, such as Clubhouse, TikTok and Twitter, and perhaps even refresh our brand!

I hope the above reasons are enough to persuade you to vote for me - I promise to not let you down if you do!
