Fatima Naimi
I currently hold office as the founding President of the Afghan Society at UCL and have held this position for two consecutive years. This year I will be running for the position of Vice President, a role that will allow me to continue contributing to our committee's brilliant work at the society.

I believe that Afghan students deserve to be represented amongst our diverse population at UCL and I will work my hardest to ensure everybody has the opportunity to experience the many colours and flavours of Afghan culture. I wholeheartedly believe that it is possible for the Afghan people to live in peace and prosperity but this will only happen through unity and economic change. My hope is that by participating in our society at UCL and working together with our friends from other Afghan societies around the country, we can instil this hope in others. For this reason, the Afghan Society is involved in charitable projects such as Afghan Charity Week (ACW), a philanthropic student led initiative that regards UCL Afghan Society as one of its founding members and original partner universities as of 2019.

I feel proud to work on a diverse committee of bright, young, ambitious Afghans and truly believe that it is our generation that can (and will) bring about tremendous positive change and help propel Afghanistan to the prosperous nation it deserves and has the potential to be. It would be my honour to serve a third term on our committee as the society's Vice President.
