Hi there, my name is Tiara and I'm a second year PIR student!

As part of the organising committee this past 6 months, I've learned so many great things about 180DC. The work of our current committee members inspires me to carry forward and maintain the standards of an amazing 180DC-er. I believe that the role of a treasurer - besides managing 180DC finances and liaising with the Students Union - is all-encompassing, which makes it all the more exciting and constructive!

As the Welfare Officer for 180DC, I’ve worked closely under the welfare guidance of the SU and have familiarised myself with the inner workings of the consulting, events, and marketing aspects of our committee. Some of my highlights include: helping the marketing and logistics of our Social Impact themed events, taking part in student consultant recruitment, as well as taking over 180DC’s instagram with our committee’s welfare recommendations!

Aside from 180DC, I’m also Secretary at the Indonesian Students’ Association in London, managing a database of over 70 committee members and being a friendly point of contact in the organisation. I’ve also taken responsibilities such as managing Zoom subscription payments and organising an event with the Indonesian Covid-19 task force. This will hopefully demonstrate that not only am I enthusiastic about the creative work of a treasurer, but that I’ve also gained the relevant experiences to commit to the administrative requirements of being a great one!

Hi everyone, I am Charmi, a 2nd year Maths & Stats student, running for the position of Treasurer for our 180 DC society. Becoming a member of 180 DC helped me understand the importance of impact consulting and the difference we as students can make. These together have motivated me to run for this position and contribute more to this global network where we all thrive to bring a change.
Relevant Experiences -
- Vice President Finance & External Relations, AIESEC society 1] work like a financial consultant helping the committee make investments that bring better member experience and more profit 2] called a speaker from Strategy& 3] currently working on a UK wide event series with four other universities' AIESEC across the UK.
- Welfare Officer, Volunteering Society - Collect feedback and always support members for well-being.
- Course Representative, Maths Department - Collect feedback and represent it to the Department and plan for a better learning experience for the students.
I believe that these experiences & my volunteering with NGOs working for environment, daily wage workers & many more have equipped me quite well with skills & knowledge needed to give my best to this role & bring excellent results.
I plan to -
1] Connect with the alumni network to get sponsorships
2] Build relations with other 180 DC branches for larger sponsorships & event plans
3] Help invest wisely to improve member experience & more.
If you think I am a worthy candidate, please vote.
