Helen Fellerman
I am standing for this role to create a dynamic and facilitative service. As a mature or part-time student, one's focus and responsibilities differ to others. I would like UCL to recognise this by providing the relevant catered support necessary in four key areas.

Firstly, through academia. I want to help enrich students' academic experience. I pledge to campaign for a study space solely for mature and part-time students, as there is a current lack of study space.

Secondly, through networking. There is a current lack of opportunities offered to meet other mature and part-time students. I pledge to offer free social events for students, catered to your preferences through online polls and emails.

Thirdly, through representation. I pledge to articulate all requests and issues, however big or small, to the Union. I will ensure prompt responses by offering multiple methods of contact to implement change.

Finally, through support. I pledge to improve accessibility and availability of advice in areas including childcare, finance, accommodation and mental health. This is important in facilitating to students' unique responsibilities and needs.

I am currently Academic Representative for French CLIE Language Modules and Legal Assistant at the UCL Integrated Legal Advice Clinic. My experiences have taught me the value of effective representation. I believe through improving these four key areas, students' overall experience could benefit greatly.
