Why are you standing?:

This year has taught me a lot about what can be achieved and how students can make sustained change at UCL, and I want to spend the next year building on the lessons I have learnt, the work that I have done and continue to fight for BME students at UCL.

My four priorities will be:

- Political education

- Community building and welfare support

- Accountability of the union and university

- Creating opportunities for BME students

BME students are often the hardest hit by higher education cuts, austerity, strict immigration controls, socioeconomic instability. And I believe that through collective organising, we can tackle these issues and make UCL a transformative space for BME students.
