Max Tscheltzoff

Name:
Max Tscheltzoff
Why are you standing?:

My name is Max and I'm a queer, transmasculine and non-binary Anthropology student running to be your trans officer at UCL.

I believe in an intersectional, inclusive and supportive university. My priority as trans officer would be to eradicate transphobia, challenge cisnormativity and provide extensive support for trans and non-binary students. High on my agenda is also to educate on gender diversity and open up the conversation on making UCL a more trans-inclusive space.

For the past 2 years, I have been a student representative in the Anthropology department. In 2015, I was elected trans representative of an LGBTQ+ organization in Paris and have invested a lot of time in activism. This year, I co-founded the Anthropology department’s LGBTQ+ group.

If elected, I aim to:

Run campaigns to improve curriculums and teaching in regards to trans inclusivity and representation

Develop inclusive policies to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all trans and non-binary students

Cooperate with welfare and mental health services to improve UCL's trans resources

Ensure trans-inclusive sports teams and societies

Work alongside UCL's LGBT+ Network for trans events and socials

Thank you for reading my manifesto!
