Hi everyone, I am currently volunteering with staff and colleagues to improve our academic

situation at the UCL Institute of Education (IOE), attending our termly meetings, joining a

student representative training, moderating on Unitu and taking responsibilities of the role.

Moreover, from my volunteer experience meeting the External Examiner who conducted the examination board in Summer 2018 for our programme, I felt encouraged to speak about the overall feedback of our programme to improve the learning experience for our future

students. Last but not least, an inclusive learning environment is crucial for a meritocratic

educational perspective in the twenty-first century, because education is a weapon, through

diversity, which comprises different backgrounds and identities, could pose some

challenges. In a global level, the United Nations (UN) Convention of the Rights of

the Child article 26 states that "EVERYONE has the RIGHT to EDUCATION". Every

child/learner no matter where are you coming from which religious, ethnicity, cultural,

economic backgrounds, disabilities you are having, they/we have the right to receive at least

basic education. During the upcoming academic year, we will continue our works and volunteering to help improve everyone’s education at UCL.

Thank you.
