MY PROMISES:

1) Put MORE weight on the advertisement of NON-PHARMACY placements. I will push for categories to be placed on Moodle such as 'community placements', 'hospital placements', 'industry placements' and miscellaneous placements. There are such amazing opportunities out there for us such as the Amgen scholars programme that few are made aware of.

2) Hospital placements done EARLIER in the course - students should be well aware of the life of a hospital pharmacist from day one. Other universities start in second year, giving them an advantage over us in their hospital summer placement interviews.

3) TIMETABLED INDUSTRY PLACEMENTS - There's so much that can be done with an MPharm degree! Instead of so many GreenLight placements, I will push for there to be timetabled Industry visits to give students an early idea of what path they wish to take. Too many students are boxed in to one career path because they are unaware of the world outside pharmacy.

4) Student-run MOCK INTERVIEWS.

5) More EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES - I'm passionate to keep up the brilliant work of the current SU. Football and Netball will continue, as well as Open Mic nights. I aim to resurrect horror movie nights in the JHLT too! More advertisement of networking opportunities will also be made such as Prize-giving night, alumni events and the annual Stakeholder dinner - these are priceless opportunities that only UCL SoP students can experience, yet too many miss out.

We aim to make our union even stronger.

Seeing that it will be our last Mpharm year, we want to make it a memorable one! I am currently project leader of a volunteering project with UCL VSU, which in addition with my event planning skills will ensure the success of another grad ball. Furthermore, I am excited to be working with a competent experienced team!
