Manifesto Summary:

Hi there! My name is Rothna and I am a final year History student running for Welfare and International officer. I would love your support in helping me successfully make lasting positive changes to students' welfare at UCL!

Having been the President of Bangla Society, a Faculty StAR, Transition mentor as well as a Student Ambassador, whilst carrying out my degree at UCL, I feel as though I truly understand what it means to be a UCL student and the difficulties one may encounter.

I have personally encountered issues with adjusting to university throughout my degree, and I feel that the welfare services at UCL are currently inadequate and fail to satisfy the needs and requirements of a diverse range of students. As your Welfare and International Officer, I will fight to ensure that the student psychological services receive the funding it so desperately needs whilst pushing for greater inclusivity on campus for all students, particularly disabled and international students.

Whether you’re feeling excluded, stressed, upset, lost, struggling or simply need someone to talk to, I will be here ready to help you in any way I can. I am here to have your back above anything else and will do everything I can to make your life at UCL the best it can be. I sincerely strive to ensure that every single student is able to fit into and immerse themselves wholeheartedly without restrictions or barriers and need your vote to help me achieve this.

Please do have a read of my manifesto for more information on how I intend to create long-term change! #AKHTnow #VoteROTHNA #AktionsSpeakLouder
