Why are you standing?:

Coming all the way from home and trying to make a new one here at John Dodgson House was such a daunting thought, however, I feel more comfortable here than I do at home and I want everyone to feel like they are part of this family, that is why I am so excited to run for hall rep again this year!

As hall rep security would be my top priority as intruders can tailgate residents in so that's why I am going to drive for a night porter so everyone can feel comfortable and safe in their own homes.

I would also love to make John Dodgson House a more sociable hall by, running fun socials chosen by you such as game & movie nights. Also, a lot of students have been vying for a table tennis table vote for me and let's make it happen!

Thank you for taking the time to read this and happy voting!

Why are you standing?:

My priorities for this role is hall cohesion and just turning John Dodgson into a little family. I plan to do this by:

- organising hall socials

- organise shared spaces i.e. the common room

- Organising movie nights and joint cooking over the weekends

- Making myself available if anyone has an argument or a grudge with people i.e. if people are messy or steal their food in joint kitchens etc

I feel I am suited for the role because I love everyone at JD and I feel I have the leadership skills to be able to sort out any issue you guys may have and also organise social events to make the 39 weeks here memorable.

Why are you standing?:

Hey! I’m Khushi and we may have already met. If you haven’t please feel free to contact me. I’m super bubbly, friendly and my name means happiness in Hindi.

Living in two cities in two very different countries has made me a more compassionate and empathetic person. While I’m comfortable living in London, I also know how nerve wracking it is to be thrown into a completely different life and culture, even if you’ve been there before. I’d like to bridge the gap between home and international students, making John Dodgson a comfortable place to live and worthy of being called a home to over 200 of you guys.

I hope to be your hall rep and going to all the meetings required of me to ascertain your opinions and concerns reach the relevant parties (I went to the Candidate Briefing as well), organise fun social events for everyone and make sure you have a great year!!!
