Name:
Jameela Nagri
Why are you standing?:

I am a third-year student, currently taking the iBSc in Cardiovascular Sciences, and part of three RUMS charities committees aiming to educate and help the local community.

I hope to use transferable skills gained from these charities by sensitively relaying valuable student suggestions and insights to the management team and making positive changes through increasing the number of student-led social events.

My focus is on three core issues:

1) Diversity inclusion – focusing on the needs of minority groups and making UCL more disability-friendly by increasing wheelchair access.

2) Making the feedback from students to the union more efficient by focusing on accountability from our reps. This means to ensure that student needs are met such as making sure computers are more consistent, increasing access to booking group study spaces and uploading more lectures online.

3) Mental health services – immediate action on mental health, making the deadline extension process smoother and create easier access to help.

Thank you for reading my manifesto and feel free to get in contact with me to ask my any questions about my ideas by contacting me at zchajna@ucl.ac.uk
