The Hall Representative should embody the feelings, needs, and values of the Goldsmid House. This person should be sensitive to the surrounding neighborhood, in-tune with the priorities of each resident, and diplomatic in their relationship with Hall Reception & UCL Management. We are living in the midst of an uncharted year as university students and our experience needs to be accurately conveyed and considered by the broader UCL community in order to adapt appropriately. Based on my conversations with most of you thus far, we appear to value the efficiency of our quiet study bedrooms, and acknowledge the accessibility of the Victoria neighborhood. However, given the COVID-19 restrictions, are dissapointed in the lack of opportunity to build meaningful relationships with our fellow classmates and flatmates in group settings.

I sincerely believe that I have a strong public value disposition and would effectively represent you as the Goldsmid House Hall Representative. If elected, I promise to redistribute community funds allocated for events back to residents as a rent-reduction initiative. Further, I intend to lobby for an energy saving policy which also reduces rent costs by a 50/50 savings split with the university directly tied to energy consumption.
