Jade Ygouf
Dear lovely hall mates,

I’m Jade, a climate lover who loves Rock music and cheese, you should ask my flatmates about it. My priorities are:

• TALK to me
Better communication between UCL representatives and us will lead to fewer conflicts. I’m open to every dialogue and promise a peaceful way to solve our differences.

• Let’s get to KNOW each other
Maybe, it’s my hippie side but I want to send you all my love, guys! So, what would you think about an open letterbox filled with sunny messages? Would you be interested in participating in an anonymous hall pen pal program? Every Friday, we could meet for a coffee.

• Warm everyone hearts
Where is our food box? What about a fundraising baking day?

• EXPRESS yourselves
Our Halls need to be more ALIVE. An expression wall, a picture prize, some decorations for Christmas, monthly challenges …

• WE NEED THAT!
Thanks to our shining hall mates who complete the questionnaire, I’m also thinking about providing dish racks, improving the garden area, reopening the common room, a dancing ball, …

• Protect our HOME
I will closely work with UCL Sustainability teams to reduce our carbon footprint.
Imogen Rickman
Hi! Imogen here, a basement dweller from Rm B19. I'm running for hall rep because John Adams could be greatly improved, and I'd love to help. Sure, it provides a roof and a bed, but for some, it doesn't provide a sink, enough fridges, or a proper sense of community. I want to change this as much as possible, by making it clear in meetings why we deserve the quality of accommodation we're paying for.
If elected (please?), I will:
- help coordinate optional events (so you can meet other residents if you haven't already)
- create an anonymous complaint form to better understand what needs improving
- attend every single meeting and ensure your points are addressed
- let you know what's happening with UCL and JAH (without spamming)
- make it easier to request broken items to be fixed
- stop asking idiotic questions on the group chat
My instagram's @imogen.g.rickman if anyone has questions or fancies a chat. If you've met me, you'll probably know I'm pretty loud and irritating - at least on the Welfare Committee, that can be put to good use?
Amelia Snook
My name is Millie though many of you might remember me as the ‘banana bread girl’ from the first week - since then I have been in isolation so you probably won’t have seen me much!
Recently, the constant changing of rules and the definitions of our ‘households’ has been very stressful I think that better communication plays a major role in helping us understand what enforcements are required - I would really love to represent students in giving feedback and finding solutions to ensure that everyone is kept safe (uninfected) and not anxious about having to spend long periods of time isolating.
Of course it has been difficult getting to know each other this year and I would love to try to organise more opportunities for us all to socialise, prioritising getting the common rooms open again (even if we can only go in in small groups at a time). I’d also really like to try to ask for table tennis tables in the outdoor areas. Feel free to text me with any questions and suggestions – I really want to make this year as good as possible!
