Full Time Staff

The Student Activities Team work throughout the year to support the Clubs and Societies that are affiliated to the Union, as well as providing extra activities for you to get involved with. For Staff Surgery Hours please click here.

 

Carl Salton-Cox, Societies and Media Manager (c.salton-cox@ucl.ac.uk)

Come and talk to me if you are a society president and would like support with any challenge ideas or initiatives, or support and advice on difficult situations. Carl can also provide further support for large scale events and any concerns you have about health & safety or wellbeing of your members. He looks after our External Speaker Process and can assist you with the running of these events, please get in touch with any queries you have.
 

Did you know that Carl has a degree in Film, and pursues this as a hobby in his spare time. Carl was also a Sabbatical at Sussex University and has been working in Student Unions ever since.

 

Katie Sykes, Sports Development Manager (k.sykes@ucl.ac.uk)

Come and talk to Katie about the TeamUCL Elite Athlete Programme, if you are sports club president who needs guidance on developing coaching opportunities in your club, the London Varsity Series or if you would like to know about becoming a trained coach or official. If you have any concerns about health & safety in your sports club or are faced with a challenging situation please get in touch.
 

Did you know that Katie gained a degree in Sport from Durham University and worked as Team Durham President Sabbatical for 1 year. Katie is also a trustee at Somers Town Community Sports Centre and a member of the BUCS Advisory Group for Netball and Lead on Governance for the Students’ RFU. In her spare time she plays netball, coaches and umpires and is a Huddersfield Town Fan.

 

Johnny Glover, Societies and Media Coordinator (j.glover@ucl.ac.uk)

Come and talk to Johnny about society development, theatre allocation and productions, Skills4Work, society events and society training. Johnny can provide further support and advice on funding applications as well as affiliation applications for new societies.
 

Did you know that Johnny was an award winning student journalist…many, many years ago!

 

Neil Jolliffe, Sports Development Coordinator (n.jolliffe@ucl.ac.uk)

Come and talk to Neil about sports clubs, developing new opportunities or working to improve current activities on offer, or supporting your clubs training needs. Neil is responsible for the Team UCL newsletter and social media platforms.
 

Did you know Neil has 8 years experience within Sport Development and considers himself a huge sports fan (playing football for a South London team and supporting the mighty Reading FC.)

 

Bikram Bains, Project Active Coordinator (bikram.bains@ucl.ac.uk)

Come and talk to Bikram about how you can get active! If you are part of a club that wants to run a Project Active session, or you think of something that could be included get in touch.

Did you know that Bikram doesn’t currently play any sports as she is far too accident prone.

        

Natasha Mann, Activities Administrator (natasha.mann@ucl.ac.uk)

Come and talk to Natasha about Clubs and Society forms and procedures, room bookings (within UCL and the Union), Clubs and Society Directory Pages/Website queries and storage requests. Natasha is also responsible for the Clubs and Society President and Treasurer mail out. Natasha also ensures the running of the two Receptions on campus (Bloomsbury and Lewis).
 

Did you know that Natasha was the President of Dance Society while studying at University.

 

Isobel Ross, Sports Administrator (isobel.ross.13@ucl.ac.uk)

Come and talk to Issy about BUCS and LUSL competitions, travel reclaims and sports hall bookings. She is the main point of contact for Team Captains and weekly fixtures and individual championships.
 

Did you know that Issy was the President of Surf Club last year, and is a recent graduate of UCL.

 

Tiahan Eeles, Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach (t.eeles@ucl.ac.uk)

Come and talk to Tiahan about performance teams within in your Sports Club and the Elite Athlete Training Programme. All sessions are currently based at Bloomsbury Fitness and cover a wide variety of sports. He works with the athletes to give structured S&C programmes including strength, power, injury rehabilitation and recovery sessions. A high calibre of athletes are currently at UCL aiming for Tokyo Olympic Games and Teams targeting to win their BUCS league this year.
 

Did you know Tiahan brings his experience from working at West Ham FC and other international level sports, and aims to raise the level of the performance throughout all UCL Sport.

Surgery Hours for Full Time Staff

Surgery Hours are held in the small office by the Common Room, 2nd Floor, Bloomsbury Theatre Building. If you are attending the surgery hours you can drop by during the times below to see staff without booking a meeting. These surgery hours are held every week*.

Sports Team Drop Ins:

Katie Sykes - Sports Development Manager: Thursday 9am -10am

Neil Jolliffe - Sports Development Coordinator: Monday 3pm - 4pm, Friday 3pm - 4pm

Bikram Bains - Sports Administrator: Monday 11am - 12pm, Thursday 12pm - 1pm

Societies Team Drop Ins:
