With exams to be written and assignments to be handed in, the next few months may be a stressful time for some of you. We're here for you when you need us and have some useful tips and advice to get you through Term 3.

...take regular study breaks

Eating well is as important for your mind as it is for your body - and we've got loads of places for you to re-fuel on campus.

We've still got our £1.95 breakfast on offer at George Farha Café if you're getting an early start, or our £2.50 lunch to keep you going through the afternoon. We've also got a range of healthy snacks and delicious smoothies (we really recommend the strawberry one).

Avoid the temptation to order takeaway for dinner every night - The Union Shop is just a few minutes walk from the Main Library and the Student Centre, and you can't miss our Pool Street Shop on your way out from UCL East Library. Whether you're grabbing a ready meal or picking up the ingredients for an easy meal (pesto pasta, anyone?) we've got you sorted - no hassle.

...keep active

Exercise is good for the mind! Taking some time out to exercise can be a welcome break from revision and can be really fun. Our main campus is around 20 minutes walk from Regents Park, the perfect place to take a stroll and get some fresh air. If you're over at UCL East, the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is right next door - why not try one of their art or wildlife walking routes?

If you're looking to stay on campus, why not drop into a Project Active class or two and try something new? They're affordable, beginner friendly, and you can even take part in selected classes online.

We've also got our very own gym - Bloomsbury Fitness - next door to the Student Centre. Sandwiching a spin class in between study sessions has never been easier, and you'll feel the benefit - trust us!

...get some headspace

We know exams will be dominating your mind, but taking time to think about things and get some much-needed perspective is important.

We have taken over the Garden Room (next to Jeremy Bentham) and turned it into a Chill Out Zone. This space will act as a relaxation space for you to recharge and take some time away from the library.

Come along to one of Student Support & Wellbeing's Sleep School sessions, where a leading sleep expert will talk you through all the sleep essentials to help you succeed at university, particularly during times of stress such as the exam period. SSW will also be bringing therapy dogs back to campus throughout May (!!!!) - keep an eye on their full schedule of events.

...get the support you need

We want to make sure that all students are fully equipped to ace their exams or assessments through our Writing and Language Support (WALS) programme for international students. Keep an eye on our What's On calendar to see when our next sessions are starting up...

If you are struggling with some pre-exam stress or finding it difficult to revise, speak to someone about it. Our Advice Service and UCL’s Student Support and Wellbeing team are on hand to offer support, as is the telephone and online counselling service Care First.
