Following the statement released by the UCLU Trustee Board on 4 June 2014.  The UCLU Trustee Board met on 12 June 2014 to reconsider the Motion to the Union Council: Fight Fascism adopted by UCLU Council.  On consideration of the legal opinion on the matter, the UCLU Trustee Board resolved that there was insufficient evidence to substantiate the claims in the motion.  The UCLU Trustee Board took the decision to overturn this policy.

At the same meeting, the UCLU Trustee Board also overturned the Motion to End Rape Culture at UCLU and the motion on Funding a fulltime pan-London officer for 2014-15.  In relation to the Motion to End Rape Culture at UCLU, the UCLU Trustee Board resolved that the wording of the motion left the organisation open to excessive risk.  With regards to the motion on Funding a fulltime pan-London officer for 2014-15, the UCLU Trustee Board resolved that committing to substantially funding this position would be acting beyond our charitable objects.  However, the UCLU Trustee Board agreed to contribute to the funding of this position so long as this be proportional to other beneficiaries.
