Name of Event: Word on the Street, Summer Holidays at The Ragged School Museum!

Volunteer Role: Family Learning Programme Volunteers will be expected to:

  • Assist visitors on activity tables
  • Encourage visitors to take part in the activities on offer
  • Provide a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for families
  • Assist in the clean down of activities at the end of the day

Desirable qualities and experience:

  • An interest in heritage/museums
  • An interest in working with children and families
  • Good spoken English
  • Friendly, engaging and reliable

Volunteers will:

  • Be given an induction and introductory tour
  • Gain experience working with children and families
  • Gain experience working in a heritage environment
  • Have lots of fun!

Volunteers will be asked to come to the Museum for a meeting with the Museum Learning Officer in the weeks prior to the dates of the role. 

When: Either, or both of, Wednesday 30 and Thursday 31 May 2018,  from 09:45- 17:00

Where: Ragged School Museum, 46-50 Copperfield Road, Mile End, E3 4RR

Closest tube stations are Mile End and Limehouse DLR
