Wednesday 28 February 2018 (All day)

Name of Event: Towpath Taskforce – Ponders End Lock

Volunteer Role: Want to improve your local waterway? Join the Canal & River trust on our Towpath Taskforce events on London’s beautiful canals. We help to clean up and improve the waterways for the community to enjoy. Join us for a fun and productive day to help your community and the environment.

We’ll be repairing and filling holes at the river edge to make the area safer for visitors and help maintain the river banks. All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support and refreshments. We will be delighted to see you there. You’re welcome to join us for the morning or bring a packed lunch and stay all day!

No experience is required, you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. Please wear old clothes appropriate for the weather conditions (e.g. waterproof jacket, warm layers) and sturdy footwear ideally boots or wellies.
