Wednesday 19 June 2019 (All day) to Sunday 23 June 2019 (All day)

Name of Event: Taste of London 2019

Volunteer Role:  Regent’s Park will transform into a foodie wonderland for five days of summer eating, drinking and entertainment. Over 40 of the city’s best restaurants will fashion taster menus serving their finest dishes for the ultimate alfresco feast. In addition, over 200 artisan producers and premium brands will provide a bounty of the best food and beverages from Britain and around the world. Celebrity chefs will host interactive masterclasses and put on live demonstrations. There is plenty to see and do, and far too much to taste!

Action Against Hunger will be running a pop-up restaurant and this year the theme is fried chicken!

We are currently looking for volunteers to work with us at the event to help raise awareness about the charity, whilst also fundraising for our lifesaving programmes around the world.

The volunteering roles include:

•        Selling raffle tickets

•        Greeting visitors

•        Running the cloakroom

•        Handling collections

This role will require you to actively engage with members of the general public and other volunteers and so it would be a great opportunity to develop communication and teamwork skills.

Volunteers will be provided with some time on the day that they volunteer to use their staff wristband to explore the rest of the festival. We will pay for travel within London zones 1-6, and will also provide food during your shift.
