Thursday 6 June 201914.00 to 16.30

Please note, if you are a student who would like to find out more about this event please go to the student event page.

This event will connect charitable organisations with potential student Project Leaders to discuss the possibility of creating a community project that meets the needs of the organisation’s beneficiaries.

At this unique networking event, organisations will be allocated a stand and interested students will rotate around each stand in order to gain an understanding of the organisations’ needs. This is a unique opportunity for third sector employees to work together with UCL students to develop project ideas and is the first step towards setting up a new Student-Led Volunteering Project.

The Student-Led Volunteering Programme supports UCL students to develop and deliver community projects across London and all projects must be delivered in partnership with a charitable organisation or school. Our student Project Leaders are provided with training, and a dedicated Project Supervisor who provides them with support and guidance.  They also have access to funding of up to £750 and we process all DBS checks and references.

This is a hugely successful programme that has been running for over 15 years and our students have made a great impact in the community. You can find information about the community projects that have been delivered as part of the Student-Led Volunteering Programme on our Student Stories pages.

If you would like to explore the possibility of co-creating a project with UCL students, register your interest, as soon as possible, as there are only 8 spaces available.

The deadline for registration is Friday 24 May.

Please note that registering for this event does not guaranteed you a space.  All organisations that register by the deadline, will be contacted by Cyreeta Donaldson, who will confirm whether or not you have been allocated a place.

This event is only open to organisations registered with the Volunteering Service.  If you are interested in recruiting volunteers through us, please visit our Registering with Us page, which will provide you with further information.

Contact Cyreeta Donaldson at or on 020 7679 4119 if you have any questions.
