Name of Event: Open House London Weekend

Volunteer Role: Open House London is the capital’s largest architecture festival, with more than 800 buildings of all types and periods opening up their doors to all, completely free! Attracting thousands of people each year, it truly is a citywide celebration of the buildings, places and the neighbourhoods where we live, work and study.

You could volunteer as a steward to help manage queues, act as extra security for participating buildings, hand out fact sheets, and answer practical questions. You could also volunteer as a guide and do a little more research in order to lead tours talk about the architecture, function and history of the buildings. Training will be provided.

This event may be of interest to those with knowledge of architecture, engineering, town planning, or any subject that might be related to the built environment.

Why you should volunteer: Volunteering with Open House London offers a great opportunity to meet a variety of new people, gain new experiences and transferable skills, useful for CV development and a chance to learn more about the capital’s architecture and design.
