Saturday 14 July 2018 (All day) to Sunday 15 July 2018 (All day)

Name of Event: Camden New Town Community Festival

Volunteer Role: The Community Festival has been running since 1999. Its aim is to draw together the members of our very diverse local community. We do this by developing partnerships so that many people can take part in and enjoy a wide range of events over a summer weekend. This year the Festival will happen in Camden Square on Sunday 15 July with some preparations on Saturday 14 July.

Interested in Helping?

You can help by being a Volunteer Steward on the weekend. We ask you to commit to a 3 hour time slot so we can plan to have enough cover. This will still leave you plenty of time to enjoy the Festival when you are not on duty and you can do more than one slot if you wish. We set up the Festival site on Saturday and Sunday.

On Sunday, there will be a very wide variety of activities, including: Music & Dance from around the World; Healthy Living; Green Corner; Children and Young Peoples’ activities; Classical Music; Stalls and more
Family Day is a very big event; with a lot to set-up before 12:00. Volunteers are allocated tasks in teams of three. Tasks include: Acting as a festival host; Checking-in stall holders, performers and volunteers; Manning road barriers; Setting up Gazebos; Moving light furniture; Asking members of the public to complete a Festival Questionnaire

We will give you training.

Free packed lunch is available.
