Sunday 4 November 2018 (All day)

PLEASE NOTE: This event is now at full capacity and isn’t looking for any more volunteers.  Don’t worry, though, there are still plenty of One-Off Volunteering Events that you can take part in!

Name of Event: Blindfold Run

Volunteer Role: We are excited to be hosting our annual flagship event once again at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park - the 5k and 10k Blindfold Run!

Hundreds of supporters will be running in pairs on the day - one blindfolded and the other guiding, and each and every one of them will be there to help RSBC make sure that no child is poor or lonely just because they are blind. It’s an event like no other, but one that would not be possible without an army of enthusiastic volunteers! By signing up to volunteer on the day, you can help support the event with various roles, including;

  • Event Volunteer – Set up/venue dressing, marshalling, bag checks, handing out medals/water/goody bags & much more!
  • Volunteer Videographer - If you have or would like to build on and develop your film-making skills, this could be just the opportunity for you to help us document this incredibly unique day!

It’s sure to be a blast and as well as getting a buzz from being part of something bigger, you’ll have the chance to:

• Be part of a fun and supportive team

• Meet new and interesting people

• Build on / boost your confidence

• Gain new skills and increase existing ones

• Be involved in supporting a truly unique event

• Gain experience in the charity sector!

When: Sunday 4 November, from 09:00 – 14:00

Where: Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford, London, E20 2ST

Volunteer places: 50
