The Union’s Research Student Conference is an opportunity for postgraduate research students to present their work to the wider academic community at UCL. This year’s inaugural Conference hopes to set an impressive precedent in showcasing the academic achievements of our postgraduate colleagues, establishing a new annual flagship event in our Postgraduate Association’s calendar.

The focus of the Conference will be on opportunities for interdisciplinary research, and we therefore invite submissions from any postgraduate research student whose focus spans departments and research fields, or whose work touches on different disciplines. All participants at the Conference will be allocated 30 minutes for presentation and discussion, and we welcome contributions of all formats - whether a traditional paper discussion, or more creative and interactive sessions. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in both presenting your research to academic colleagues as well developing vital skills in public engagement.

Our Research Student Conference will be followed immediately by the final in the UCL Three Minute Thesis competition.
