Rwanda’s genocide against the Tutsi took place between the 7th of April and 15th of July 1994 during the civil war. The tragedy that occurred left the country in shambles and the health of the population started to decline. Today, almost 25 years after the genocide, Rwanda is renowned for its accomplishments in universal health coverage.

Join us on the 22nd of October with David Russel, the UK coordinator for the Survivor Fund - an organisation supporting survivors of the genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda - and Mike Rowson, Population Sciences Faculty tutor at UCL and co-author of “Innovations in Rwanda’s health system: looking to the future” published in The Lancet, for an evening in conversation with the past, present and future.

Remember to buy your membership first before attending, giving you access to all of our events and conferences throughout the year - only £3 !
