The UCL Debating Society invites you to our first debate of the term.

The motion for the evening is: “This House Supports the Hong Kong Protest Movement”

The debate will begin at 7:00pm in E28 Harrie Massey LT. This event is free to attend, and membership is not required for our public debates. For this debate, only students can attend and security will check that you have a student ID on the door.

All in attendance are welcome to free refreshments. Afterwards we will head to a local pub to continue the debate in a less formal setting.

The UCL Debating Society is proud to provide a platform for debating the most complex issues of the day. We have a shared commitment to ensuring that anyone can discuss their ideas, and we aim for our events to provide an effective forum to get informed, engaged, and involved with important world issues.

If you enjoy our public debates, we encourage you to buy membership and come along to our Thursday night training sessions!

Join us to hear our expert speakers and get a chance to speak for or against the motion yourself.

Speakers will be announced shortly.

Please note that this event is open to UCL students only - remember to bring your student ID with you as it will be checked on the door.
