Oxford & District Mencap run holidays for people with a learning disability.
The role involves acting as a carer to an allocated guest on a camp style residential holiday. Volunteers offer one to one support and engage guests in the wide range of activities on offer. Activities can include sports, BBQs, discos, crafts, cinema trips, theme park trips and other days out.
Volunteers have the opportunity to attend an orientation day as well as receiving ongoing training from camp leaders. Volunteers need to be enthusiastic, a team player, up for a challenge and hardworking. It is an incredibly fun and rewarding opportunity to be a part of.
