Opportunity: Science Workshop Volunteers Organisation Student-led volunteering project Science4kids Science4Kids is a volunteering project dedicated to show children that science does not belong just in a book. We bring life to everyday science by giving interactive, scientific workshops to children of Year 5 and Year 6, with each workshop lasting an hour. Volunteers do not need a background in science, as all we ask for is commitment and enthusiasm. We meet up every Monday evening, 6-7pm, and workshops happen Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. We currently offer 3 different workshops to primary schools around London. Our current workshops are: Biology: DNA extraction (extraction of strawberry DNA). Chemistry: Density and Concentration (rainbow in test tubes) Integrated Science: Forensics (fingerprint analysis, paper chromatography, invisible ink and decoding) Anyone who has passion for kids and science is welcome to join our dedicated team! Let's show children how fun and exciting science is!
