Friends of Moorfields
Friends of Moorfields is a registered charity that provides support to the patients and staff of Moorfields Eye Hospital. Among the main things we do is offering a diverse range of volunteer services to help patients navigate the hospital and support them on their patient journey.
Description

We would like to recruit volunteers who could help us support patients of the Moorfields Eye Hospital at attending their appointments. Many patients are visually impaired, elderly and frail and the volunteers help by greeting them at the main reception, managing the patient queue, helping with directions and guiding patients along the new one-way pathway. If you can spare half a day per week covering either a morning or afternoon between 07:30 and 18:00 we would like to hear from you. We will cover your travel expenses and, in addition, if you stay for the whole day, we will provide lunch and refreshments. The role is subject to DBS clearance and references and a min commitment is 3 months. We look forward to hear from you!
