Our Room guides share their passion by engaging with visitors about family stories, art and love making people feel at home.

3D/ Architectural Design Volunteer

Interested in design, especially in interior/3D? Do you aspire to design glamourous, grand decorations that will be shown off right in the middle of central London? Well you’re in luck! With world-class performers from both the UK and the Far East, and reaching 700,000 spectators, the London Chinese New Year Celebrations is the largest of its kind outside of Asia.

LCCA is looking for committed, enthusiastic volunteers to join us in a variety of roles in the months leading up to the 2019 London Chinese New Year Celebrations on 10th February 2019.

Could you help a health charity design animation videos to help deliver its service visually?

Africa Health Organisation (AHO) is an international health agency providing health and social care in Africa. Its main activities are disease prevention, treatment and medical research.

AHO is looking for dedicated volunteers to carry out graphic design and animations. The animations will concentrate on health and social topics such as HIV/AIDS.

Volunteer Book Reviewer


We’re looking for committed and enthusiastic students (Masters or PhD level in a relevant discipline) to review new books on the Holocaust and genocide selected by the Library. All Volunteer Book Reviewers will attend an induction at the Library to learn about its history and our current work. Although this role can be completely remotely, Book Reviewers are encouraged to make use of the Reading Room and therefore will be made familiar with resources during the induction session. All articles will be proof read by a staff member before they are published online.

If you do, you’ll know the magic of being able to slip into another world as and when you need to, or how books can make your world a bigger, brighter place.

For bookworms especially, it’s hard to believe that anyone could see reading as anything other than empowering, or even just a pleasure. For the third of children from disadvantaged areas who leave primary school without being able to read well, often it’s nothing but a chore.

After School Club


Recruiting Now! Autumn Term, starting 17th September!

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 3.30 - 5.30pm, we welcome a group of primary school children for ‘after school club’ to our Family Centre in Pimlico. Children are mostly from refugee and migrant families.

Volunteers encourage and join in on the activities, including; arts and crafts, cooking, indoor/outdoor games. The club encourages and develops children’s social and independent skills.

Resources for Autism are looking for outgoing but patient people who like a challenge to support adults with autism in their art groups. Creative with a sense of humour you will be able to communicate clearly not easily offended and be able to use your skills to enhance the art group. If this is you, then you will be rewarded with hands on experience with people with autism and developing your communication and creative skills.

Camp Volunteer


Change the lives of children affected by serious illness and their families.

Over The Wall is a national charity that runs camps for seriously ill children. We provide a bit of respite for children whose lives are filled with hospital visits and medication. We rely on our volunteers to help our campers relax and discover they can achieve things they didn’t think they were capable of.
