Shout Out Loud Young Producer

We are looking for enthusiastic, creative and energetic volunteers aged 16-21 to assist English Heritage in creating a ‘Youth Brand’ to use across the three year and work with the Project Manager to create a ‘big event’ at the end of the year.

You will have the chance to shape a national project, develop and share creative and digital skills, gain great experience to include in your CV and obtain Training and Volunteering Certificates to show to employers and education providers.

London Landmarks Half Marathon

London Landmarks Half Marathon is a 13 mile run taking place on Sunday 24th March.

Mencap have lots of runners raising money to support people with a learning disability.

As part of our cheer squad, you’ll give them that extra support to cross the finish line.

It’s an electric atmosphere where huge crowds gather to support thousands of people running through the streets of London.

Volunteers will receive a t-shirt and refreshments, and can claim travel expenses if needed.

It’s delivered by trained volunteers around the country and an admin team in London.

Siblings Together Volunteer

Supporting Siblings in care and adoption and kinship care who live apart, helping them to spend positive time together having fun and keeping safe within a group. Play and Chat Volunteer – Bromley / Chigwell

During afternoons of diagnostic assessments, parents/carers are given feedback and a possible diagnosis of child/young person. Whilst our clinicians spend time with the parents/carers the child/young person (CYP) is left alone to play – we need to make sure that the child/young person is happy and safe.

This is an important role, as well as spending time talking and/ or playing with a CYP, parents will be relaxed knowing that their CYP is being looked after during this time.

Age UK Westminster are passionate about tackling loneliness and isolation among older people in our community, we are calling on local people across Westminster to join our Befriending scheme and form lasting friendships with older people living in your neighbourhood. Ideally, a volunteer would telephone an older person or visit once a week for a friendly chat over a cup of coffee/tea, accompany them on a short walk or enjoy a trip out to locally i.e., the cinema or theatre together.

1 to 2 hours per week of your time will make a massive difference to someone’s life.
