About the organisation

Latin American Disabled People's Project

Since 1989, LADPP has been providing services to Spanish and Portuguese speaking migrant/refugee communities in London, with a particular (but not exclusive) focus on those with disabilities. Chiefly our users are from Latin America but we also work with people from Europe and Africa. Increasingly we see the community facing barriers; language, exploitation, lack of information regarding British systems resulting in social exclusion, poverty, stress and in the worst cases, homelessness. We provide a range of services aimed at supporting people to find work, learn English, understand and receive their rights, access healthcare and education. Our aims are to promote independence, well-being and community integration.

Do you have a good level of English and Spanish and a genuine interest in volunteer management? Do you want to support a small, user-led charity that provides services to newly settled communities in the capital? Then this volunteer role might be for you!
