Queen's Crescent Community Association

QCCA is a registered charity which aims to improve the quality of life for residents who live and work in Camden, especially in the Gospel Oak area through community based projects.

We are looking for a group of 10 volunteers to run our Peggy Jay Drop In centre and booked parties at the weekends. People with a current DBS is beneficial (otherwise we will do the checks for you) and experience with young children. We are currently expanding our activity slots so experience leading workshops/activities will also help. You will be the face of the centre, taking cash and card payments on arrival, making refreshments and tidying up when the centre closes. We also hire the centre out for children’s parties at the weekends which is increasing rapidly and opening and closing the centre.

Role Aim: 

We run a 2 hour drop in centre in the heart of Parliament Hill Fields where parents can bring their children (0-5 years old). We need volunteers to run the morning sessions and to supervise the weekend parties as and when booked

Duties: 

Volunteers will be taking fees from parents on entry and making and selling refreshments. We are currently expanding our activities on a daily basis and would like someone to maybe lead/assist these

Skills needed: 

Money handling, high level of customer service skills, punctuality
