Musical volunteer

Do you play a musical instrument or sing? Would you like to play to patients regularly? The Royal Free Charity, which works across three hospitals to make every patient’s experience the best it can be, is looking for musical volunteers to play regularly on the wards as part of its new Arts in Hospitals programme. As part of Arts in Hospitals you will play a role in improving patient experience, health and wellbeing, and providing a welcome distraction to visiting friends and family.

End PJ Paralysis project volunteer

End PJ Paralysis in a national incentive, which is being piloted on an elderly care ward. We are looking for volunteers to help with this exciting project. Volunteers would act in encouraging patients to sit out of bed, get dressed, and possibly go for a walk (if able). All this would contribute to the patient’s well-being & therefore aid the patient in being discharged from hospital. Anyone interested in a career in Physiotherapy may well find this role of interest.
