The role will be assisting the Fundraising team with all comms-based support, including social media, newsletters, photography and website support. Opportunity for training and experience on a wealth of systems from Raiser’s Edge database, MS Packages (Word/Excel), to Google Analytics and AdWords to experience using website CMS platforms and advanced social media management.

Shop Volunteer (Finchley)

We rely solely on volunteers to run our charity shops and they are vital to ensure supporters are cared for when donating items, customers receive excellent service and we generate maximum revenue for the Hospice. Each year we aim to fundraise £1.8million a year from voluntary donations alone, so with your help, we will be able to achieve this.

Peggy Jay - Drop-in centre supervisor

We are looking for a group of 10 volunteers to run our Peggy Jay Drop In centre and booked parties at the weekends. People with a current DBS is beneficial (otherwise we will do the checks for you) and experience with young children. We are currently expanding our activity slots so experience leading workshops/activities will also help. You will be the face of the centre, taking cash and card payments on arrival, making refreshments and tidying up when the centre closes.

Our stroke survivors groups are looking for volunteers to support them achieve their goals! From supporting our exercise classes and facilitating peer support to running activities and accompanying on group outings, our project offers many opportunities to gain skills in community work whilst providing invaluable support to people in need. Cheerful volunteers needed to work with another volunteer to take the shop trolley to the wards, selling items from the WH Smith shop trolley to patients, staff and visitors. Need to be reliable, friendly, confident with handling small change and happy to walk around a busy hospital. Trolley leaves at 930 am and is back for 12 noon.

CALM HQ Help

Do you want to make a difference to people affected by suicide? Come into CALM HQ to help us support our supporters to raise money for and awareness of CALM. We’ve had a massive increase in orders and can’t fulfil them without the help of excellent people like you!

CALM works to prevent male suicide, the biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK. We provide a helpline and webchat services and campaign to change the conversation about masculinity and suicide.

Outdoor Education Volunteer

Wild Schools aim to deliver great learning experiences to local primary students through outdoor education.

Using the varied environment of the West Ham Park, sessions are delivered in all primary subjects which are engaging, hands on and memorable. Each session is designed to suit the needs of a specific class in collaboration with the teacher.

So far we have taught over 5000 students outside since the project began in October 2016 in subjects as diverse as maths, art, local history and geography.

Project Admin Volunteers - Debt Intervention Service

We are recruiting Project Administrator volunteers to provide much needed support to our Debt Intervention Service team. The Debt Intervention Service supports vulnerable older people in Westminster who are struggling to manage their debts or are at a high risk of falling into debt.

The Project Administrator role will involve; contacting clients for appointment and follow-up work, recording client data on Charitylog, writing up case studies and assisting with emails and other correspondence.

Digital Debt Intervention Volunteers

In April 2018, Age UK Westminster will launch a pilot Debt Intervention service. This service will support vulnerable older people who are struggling to manage debt or at a high risk of falling into debt.

We have vacancies for two Digital Debt Intervention Volunteers. Our Digital Debt Intervention volunteers will provide further support to our service users, by training them how to use online services (banking, shopping etc) and money management apps.

Creative Film-Making for International Development Internship

Do you have video editing skills and a creative mind that you would like to use to influence decision makers and share the voices of local women leading and involved in projects for empowerment and poverty relief? This is a flexible but very important role in a small, passionate team. We are looking for someone who can tell the stories of our partners and projects in engaging, creative ways and share messages in innovative ways. Creativity is more important than experience.
