Soho Outreach Volunteer


Soho Outreach Volunteer

The Soho Outreach team are looking for outgoing, friendly volunteers to help support the team to deliver national campaign resources, distribute condoms and lube, and signposting of local HIV and sexual health services. This an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant, energetic team and contribute to our health promotion agenda.

Desirable skills and experience

• To talk to gay men, bisexual men and men who have sex with men (MSM), to help them assess their sexual health needs and to promote testing.

Redbridge HIV Prevention Volunteer


To support the Redbridge HIV prevention team by engaging with individuals and communities in Redbridge to promote the importance of HIV testing and safer sex and signposting services.

Desirable skills and experience

- Ability to engage effectively with Black African or MSM communities

- Excellent communication and active listening skills

- A basic understanding of the issues relating to HIV and AIDS, or willingness to learn

Commitment: Minimum 6 month commitment

Location: Various locations around Redbridge.

Enfield Peer Educator


The Health Promotion team in Enfield are looking for a volunteer to help provide information and support around HIV prevention to individuals to communities in Enfield.

The right volunteer will help the team to:

• Provide short, factual presentations on HIV and/or the Terrence Higgins Trust.

• Run outreach stalls, both as a team, and independently to engage members of the community to take an HIV test

• Visiting barber shops and salons to run outreach sessions

Weekend Club Autism Support Volunteer


Keep a note in your diary for our upcoming training opportunities for our weekend club, supporting children and young adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. You’ll be supporting them to take part in fun and challenging activities like sports & games, arts & crafts, drama and outings into London. Training starts on Sun 11th Feb

Outdoor Explainer Volunteer

We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to support the outdoor team at Kenwood House in ensuring all visitors have an enjoyable and safe visit.

Based outside, in the immediate vicinity of Kenwood House you will:

• Provide a physical presence to all those using the grounds closest to Kenwood House, helping to preserve and protect the building and the Estate

• Be a friendly point of contact to those outside, answering questions and providing directions to parts of the estate

Garden Volunteer


We are looking for volunteers to join the busy team of gardeners at Kenwood House and Estate to assist with the presentation and maintenance of the garden.

As a member of the garden team you will:

• Carry out horticultural tasks as required by members of the Gardens Team e.g. weeding, pruning, planting, irrigation, path sweeping, grass-edging and sowing

• Develop an understanding of the history of the garden and the significance of the plants and planting schemes

• Answer questions from visitors accurately and with confidence


About us: We are a community centre in North London with services for people living primarily in Holloway, Archway and Tufnell Park. We were set up in 1972 by local residents and have retained its values to this day. The centre continues to promote an inclusive environment for people of all ages and walks of life, offering a full range of activities including sports and arts. In August 2013 we set up an archive at Bishopsgate Institute with over 500 photographs and documents tracing the centre’s fascinating activist and artistic history.
