Give Opportunity Global is a charity registered in England and Wales with the objective of empowering and supporting the poor in East Africa to access education, basic healthcare, clean water and microfinance.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers for the Fundraising and Partnerships Manager role. The role will support to develop partnerships and fundraising activities, leading and managing some projects and helping to raise vital funds to support our ‘Build a School and Women Economic Empowerment Projects’ in Africa

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain invaluable hands-on experience whilst contributing to life changing projects helping children to access education and empower women and youth with capital to start small businesses to generate income and break poverty cycle

No prior experience is required although marketing or fundraising is advantageous

Role Aim: 

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers for Fundraising and Partnerships Managers. The role will support developing partnerships and fundraising activities, leading and managing some projects.

Working closely with executive team, you will help us raise funds we need to support our ‘build a school and women economic empowerment projects’ in Africa.

This is a great opportunity which will give you invaluable hands-on experience of communication, business development, fundraising and customer relations.

In addition, you will gain key skills in critical thinking, creativity, coordinating with others, people management, problem solving, negotiation, emotion intelligence and decision making.


• Assist executive team in developing partnerships proactively seeking potential partners to support our build a school and women economic empowerment projects in Africa. (Partners can be schools, trusts, foundations, corporate funders or individual donors)

• You will assist in developing and building strong relationships with potential supporters to ensure maximum likelihood of success.

• Actively seeking for businesses willing to host our charity collection boxes and buckets for donations.

• Managing and placing charity collection boxes and buckets supplied by GOG in shops and other businesses willing to host them.

• Working closely with the executive team to identify and develop funding opportunities to support our charity projects

• Assisting other members of fundraising team as may be required.

• Liaise with executive team to plan and implement funding projects.

• Meet with executive team for work review and updates.

Skills needed: 

• Have good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

• Some experience of fundraising in the charitable sector or willingness to learn fast to carry out the duties mentioned above.

• Be creative, engaging and persuasive.

• Be able to work from their own initiative and follow instructions from executive team

• Be organised, reliable and committed

• Be innovative and can-do attitude

• Have an attention to detail and good work ethic.


Use of MS Office training will be offered if required and fundraising training will be offered depending on volunteer’s level of competence.
