Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust and Historic England are looking for 20 volunteers interested in community, heritage, or the build environment to take part in a short project that will tell the stories of local buildings and what they mean to them.

The project will be run over 3 weeks and involve 3 workshops and some independent field work. It will give you the fantastic chance to develop transferable skills of teamwork, research skills, creative, communication and digital media skills which will look great on any job or university application.

Role Aim: 

To enrich this list of historic buildings to include information from local residents and what these building main to them.

Duties: 

● Attend 3 weekly group workshops.

● Research heritage sites you would like to enrich.

● Carry out field work to photography these sites.

● Update the sites to record with photography and written text.

● Present your enrichment to the group

Skills needed: 

● Resilience

● Motivation

● Mobile Phone with camera

● Pen and paper

● Computer (not essential)

Training will be provided on the role

Tuesday and Thursday 4 - 6pm
