Surrey Docks Farm

Surrey Docks Farm is a working city farm that aims to educate people about where their food comes from and to enable people to become actively involved in all aspects of farming.

Surrey Docks Farm is a lively working farm on the river Thames. We are looking for volunteers to support the delivery of our weekend youth clubs. This is a great opportunity for those considering careers in teaching, youth work or environmental education. Join our team and find a bit of countryside right in the centre of the city!

Role Aim: 

To enhance opportunities for 8-14 year olds taking part in our outdoor education clubs on weekends.


Assisting with activities such as: animal care, gardening, crafts, cooking, conservation

Supervising children aged 8-14. Setting up and cleaning away once the activity is finished.

Skills needed: 

Youth Club Support Volunteers should:

- have an interest in working with young people

- be prepared to get stuck in with all activities

- be interested in animals and the environment

- be creative

- be able to use their initiative

- be prepared to help clear up after the young people have gone

Enthusiasm and willingness is essential, skills and knowledge can be taught!
